This article discusses issues related to the validity of court summons using registered letters in civil case trials. The purpose of writing this article is to find out whether summons by registered letter fulfills the official and proper elements. The research method used in writing this article is normative researchnamely to analyze the extent to which a regulation or law or law that is currently in effect is effective. The data sources used are secondary data consisting of primary legal materials (legislation) and secondary legal materials (expert studies, journals and books).. The results of this research are that summons via registered mail are considered valid and compliantofficial and proper elements.
