Abstract

Abstrack -- Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a device of electrical system that serves to regulate the process of transfer of power source from a power source of the (main) power source to another (backup) alternately in accordance with the command program. By using this tool, it is no longer necessary to use a switch Change Over Switch (COS) is done manually in the process between the main power source to the backup power source. In this final project created an ATS system design that can make the process of transfer of the two power sources are safe and effective sequentially according to the work processes will be controlled by the controller automatically based on the amount of electric power consumption. Controller will make the process of controlling the condition that the ATS process will be conducted, which controls the main power source backup power source to apply or use switch  mode by controlling the power switch to gain speed in the switching process. By using a microcontroller-based ATS is able to resolve the problem diversion displacement of two power sources are safe and effective. Abstrak-- Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) adalah suatu piranti sistem listrik yang berfungsi untuk mengatur proses pemindahan sumber listrik dari sumber listrik yang satu (utama) ke sumber listrik yang lain (cadangan) secara bergantian yang sesuai dengan perintah program. Dengan menggunakan piranti ini, maka tidak diperlukan lagi menggunakan saklar Change Over Switch (COS) yang dilakukan secara manual dalam proses pengalihan antara sumber listrik utama ke sumber listrik cadangan . Dalam proyek akhir ini dibuat suatu desain sistem ATS yang dapat melakukan proses pengalihan perpindahan dua sumber listrik yang aman dan efektif secara sekuensial sesuai dengan proses kerja yang akan dikendalikan oleh pengontrol secara otomatis berdasarkan besarnya pemakaian daya listrik . Pengontrol yang akan melakukan proses pengendalian kondisi yang akan dilakukan proses ATS tersebut, dimana pengontrolan sumber listrik utama ke sumber listrik cadangan menerapkan atau menggunakan mode penyaklaran dengan pengendali saklar daya untuk mendapatkan kecepatan dalam proses switching. Dengan menggunakan ATS berbasis microcontroller tersebut dapat menyelesaikan permasalah pengalihan perpindahan dua sumber listrik yang aman dan efektif. Kata Kunci : Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), Change Over Switch (COS), Microcontroller, Pengalihan perpindahan dua sumber listrik.
