Abstract

Abstract— The distribution of electrical energy originating from the plant and distributed to consumer should be effective, efficient and reliable. Review from these criteria, in the generation of electrical energy and the distribution of electrical energy must be done rationally and economically. In the distribution network the amount of electrical energy that reaches the load is not the same as the amount of electrical energy generated due to the losses of energy. Loss on the power system network is also caused by uneven loadings between the three phase systems, the heat generated on the channel conductor and the transformer, as well as the heat generated in the bad conductor joints (loss contact). The calculation is very difficult due to the different loading conditions of the system at any time in accordance with the needs of consumers of electric power systems. Thus, the amount of loss is different from time to time, so the total loss of electric power every month and every day is different, therefore it takes an accurate calculation method to calculate the power loss of medium voltage distribution network in PT. PLN Manado City.Keywords: Distribution of electrical energy, Energy losses, Phase system, Power system.Abstrak­— Distribusi energi listrik yang berawal dari pembangkit dan diakhiri dengan penggunaan oleh konsumen haruslah bersifat efektif, efisien dan dapat diandalkan. Melihat dari kriteria tersebut maka dalam pembangkitan energi listrik serta distribusi energi listrik haruslah dilakukan secara rasional dan ekonomis. Pada jaringan distribusi jumlah energi listrik yang sampai ke beban tidak sama dengan jumlah energi listrik yang dibangkitkan karena terjadi susut atau rugi-rugi (losses) energi. Rugi rugi pada jaringan sistem tenaga listrik juga disebabkan oleh pembebanan yang tidak seimbang antara ketiga sistem fasa, panas yang timbul pada konduktor saluran maupun transformator, serta panas yang timbul pada sambungan konduktor yang buruk (losscontact). Perhitungan sangat sukar karena kondisi pembebanan sistem yang berbeda setiap saat sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen sistem tenaga listrik. Dengan demikian besar rugi-ruginya berbeda dari waktu ke waktu, sehingga total rugi daya listrik setiap bulan dan setiap harinya berbeda-beda, karena itu dibutuhkan suatu metode perhitungan yang akurat untuk menghitung rugi daya jaringan distribusi tegangan menengah di PT. PLN khusus Area Manado.Kata Kunci : Distribusi energi listrik, Rugi-rugi energi, Sistem fasa, Sistem tenaga.
