Abstract

This research aims (1) to find out whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the PKN subject in Rights and Obligations material using the Discovery learning method rather than conventional learning in Class V SDN 05 Pangkatan (2) To find out how student learning outcomes in the subjects have increased. PKN lessons on Rights and Obligations material using the discovery learning method in Class V SDN 05 Pangkatan. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were class V students of SDN 05 Pangkatan Labuhanbatu Regency with 25 students studied, with 15 male students and 10 female students. The object of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in PKN learning, especially in the material on rights and obligations. Based on the discussion and research, it can be concluded that the steps in the Discovery Learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 05 Pangkatan. The steps in this learning model include stimulus, giving problems, students' temporary guesses, collecting data, processing data, verifying data, and concluding. By applying the Discovery method in PKN lessons, you can improve student learning outcomes in the material Rights and Obligations in class V of SD Negeri Pangkatan. The application of the Discovery method turned out to be effective in improving student learning outcomes in the PKN subject on Rights and Obligations material in class V of SD Negeri Pangkatan. From the initial condition to the final condition, there was an increase in learning outcomes from an average of 58.00% in the initial test to 59.00% in cycle I, while in cycle I it was 59.00% to 83.20% in cycle II, while based on learning completeness , in the initial test it was 44.00% to 76.00% in cycle I, in cycle I classical completion was 76.00% to 88.00%. In cycle I, teacher observation results increased from 62.00% to 90.34%), while students increased by 14.28% (from 71.43% to 85.71%).
