<![CDATA[Education and technology are two things that support each other in their development. One technology recently widely associated with education is ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a technology based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that can respond like human language. ChatGPT has various capabilities such as in the fields of mathematics, statistics, writing and so on. This ability makes it widely used in learning matters. Various experts conveyed the positive and negative impacts of using ChatGPT in learning. Therefore, research needs to be carried out to determine students' introduction to ChatGPT and how they use it. This study was conducted on students from various study programs at a university. Data collection was carried out using non-probability sampling. The data collected was analyzed using a descriptive approach. Of the 204 students, 50.5% of students were aware of ChatGPT and 71.8% of them had used it. According to students, the presence of ChatGPT helps them understand the material and complete coursework. Even though they feel helped, students are also worried that they will become dependent on using ChatGPT which could then reduce their own thinking power, creativity and integrity. The positive and negative impacts of using ChatGPT in learning are clearly experienced by students. Training and socialization on the correct use of ChatGPT is also one of the needs of students who use ChatGPT in learning. Education providers need to take steps to mitigate and optimize the use of ChatGPT in learning.]]>
