LAND SUITABILITY EVALUATION FOR LAND MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON AGROECOLOGICAL ZONE AT TANJUNG VILLAGE, SEKADAU HILIR SUB-DISTRICT, SEKADAU DISTRICT

Land useing in Tanjung Village should be developing by land suitability classes, because land suitability provide recommendations for agricultural land management.The researeh objects are to know land suitability clasess for paddy, watermelon and palm oil agroecological zone at Tanjung Village.  The method of these researeh show that were soil survey and laboratory analysis. These results showed thare are 2 subgroups of soil, namely Typic Hapludults and Typic Plinthudults. Actual and potential land suitability for paddy in zone III and zone IV (S3-nr, na) can be increased to (S2-rc), for watermelon in zone III (S3-wa, nr, na, eh) and zone IV (S3-wa, nr, na) can be increased to (S1), for oil palm in zone III and zone IV (S3-na) can be increased to (S1). The recomendation for watermelon of sub zone III/D-hp and IV/D-hp are liming, P-fertilizer and terasering. The recomended for palm oil of III/D-ep and IV/D-ep are liming, P-fertilizer and K-fertilizer.
