Abstract

Fintech lending providers in Indonesia in the last five years have continued to experience a decline. The profitability ratio as seen from the value of return on assets and return on equity has fluctuated, which indicates financial problems in fintech lending providers. This study aims to determine financial performance as measured through profitability which is influenced by capital, operational risk, and the interest rate (BI Rate). The research was conducted at 17 fintech lending companies registered and licensed at the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2019-2021. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the capital ratio has a positive and significant effect on profitability, while the ratio of operational risk and interest rates has a negative and significant effect on profitability. The implications of this research can be input to fintech lending companies to pay more attention to aspects of capital, operational risk, and interest rates to increase profitability.
