Abstract

Biological control by utilizing Trichoderma asperellum from peatlands is one of the efforts to control disease caused by Sclerotium rolfsii which is environmentally friendly. One of the plants that are at risk of being infected with this disease in peatlands is the peanut plant. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on the growth ability and inhibition of Trichoderma asperellum from peatlands in a mixture of bran growing media against Sclerotium rolfsii. This research was conducted at the Plant Protection Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Teuku Umar from July to December 2022. This research was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Parameters observed in this study were colony growth percentage, spore count, inhibition percentage, growth potential and peanut seed germination. The results showed that the use of bran, corn and rice mixed media gave the best results on colony growth and the number of Trichoderma asperellum spores. The fungus T. asperellum in bran and rice mixed media gave the best results for seed germination and inhibition against S. rolfsii.INTISARI Pengendalian hayati dengan memanfaatkan Trichoderma asperellum asal lahan gambut merupakan salah satu upaya pengendalian penyakit yang disebabkan oleh Sclerotium rolfsii yang ramah terhadap lingkungan. Salah satu tanaman yang beresiko terinfeksi penyakit ini di lahan gambut adalah tanaman kacang tanah. Maka perlu dilakukan penelitian uji kemampuan tumbuh dan daya hambat Trichoderma asperellum asal lahan gambut dalam campuran media tumbuh dedak terhadap Sclerotium rolfsii. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Proteksi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Teuku Umar pada bulan Juli hingga Desember 2022. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Parameter pengamatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Persentase pertumbuhan koloni, Jumlah spora, Persentase hambatan, Potensi tumbuh dan daya berkecambah benih kacang tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media campuran dedak, jagung dan beras memberikan hasil yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan koloni dan jumlah spora Trichoderma asperellum. Jamur T. asperellum dalam media campuran dedak dan beras memberikan hasil yang terbaik daya berkecambah benih dan daya hambatnya terhadap S. rolfsii.
