The purpose of this research is to look and analyze the efforts made by citizens to preserve the culture of the archipelago through the ecotourism of Palunggugan To Joyo. This research was conducted at the cultural tourism site of Palungguhan To Joyo, Melati II Village, Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. The research subjects in this research were the management and owner of Palungguhan To Joyo cultural tourism, local residents, and tourists. Palungguhan To Joyo is an ecotourism in which there are many replicas of temple ornaments that resemble temples from the cultural heritage of the archipelago as well as forms of traditional houses. In this building, there are 250 replicas of temple ornaments throughout the archipelago. In addition, in it there are also several artificial hero tombs that have the names of these heroes on the building and very much resemble the tombs of real heroes.
