Abstract

Indonesia has a strategic geographical position, especially in the Asia Pacific Region. The Asia-Pacific region is a strategic area that brings together super power countries (United States, China, Russia and Japan). This has had both negative and positive impacts on the development of Indonesia's strategic environment, especially when it relates to the geopolitical and geostrategic policies of superpower countries, especially China. To analyze this impact, this research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research results show that China's geopolitical and geostrategic policies have had both negative and positive impacts on Indonesia, but what needs to be watched out for is the negative impacts because they have the potential to be a threat to Indonesia's national stability.
