<![CDATA[This research examines the implementation of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) program in higher education institutions, particularly in the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University, Padang. The study uses descriptive and qualitative research methods to analyze the implementation of the MBKM program and its results. The research framework is based on thoughts, ideas, and policies related to independent learning. The MBKM program is not only a response to technological advances but also a fundamental necessity amidst industrial demands and global competition. The study provides a profound understanding of its role and significance in addressing contemporary challenges faced by higher education institutions today. The MBKM curriculum is essential for producing graduates with academic competence, moral behavior, rational thinking, and responsibility for their scientific fields. However, challenges in higher education management, such as the quality of graduates, standard education systems, operational funding, educational support facilities, and teaching and educational staff, remain unresolved.]]>
