<![CDATA[The Publish or Perish 8 searching Algorithm System is one of the network-based software that has the ability to manage literature and scientific research. This study aims to determine the extent to which Al Washliyah Darussalam Banda Aceh lecturers use the Searching algorithm system integrated in “Publish & Perish 8” to develop literature and lecturer competence in producing quality scientific publications. This study is important considering the use of the Publish & Perish 8 searching algorithm offers great potential to increase the productivity and quality of lecturers' scientific work. The research method used is a quantitative study with a mixed methods approach, combining descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation test. The sample of this study consisted of 50 lecturers who were active in the field of research at the university. Data were collected through a questionnaire that included information about the frequency of use of the Publish & Perish 8 search algorithm system and the number of scientific publications in the past year. The results of descriptive analysis show that the average frequency of use of Publish & Perish 8 is 3.5 with a standard deviation of 1.2. Meanwhile, the average number of scientific publications produced by Al Washliyah lecturers is 4, with a standard deviation of 1.8. Pearson correlation analysis found a significant positive relationship between the frequency of use of Publish or Perish 8 and the number of scientific publications produced by lecturers.
