TRADITION OF PEUTRON ANEUK IN MATANG SEULIMENG VILLAGE, ACEH (Study of Living Hadiths)

Abstract

This writing focuses on tradition of peutron aneuk at Matang Seulimeng’s village, Langsa Aceh on living hadis. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of tradition of peutron aneuk at Matang Seulimeng, then found out the hadith reception on the tradition of peutron aneuk. The methods used were direct observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The tradition of peutron aneuk is carried out when a baby was between fourty days and seven months old. The execution sequence begins with peucicap, peusijuk, peugilho tanoh, tamong bak rumoh, and end with kanduri. Based on observation and interview that the tradition of peutron aneuk at Matang Seulimeng was a reception of hadith tawaṣṣul and tafā’ul. Through a functional analysis of informative and performative theory by Sam D. Gill, it was found that hadith tawaṣṣul and tafā’ul contain an informative aspect of tradition of peutron aneuk.[Tulisan ini membahas tradisi peutron aneuk (tradisi menyambut kelahiran anak di Aceh) di desa Matang Seulimeng Langsa Aceh melalui kajian living hadis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan tradisi peutron aneuk di desa Matang Seulimeng, kemudian mengetahui resepsi hadis pada tradisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi langsung, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Tradisi peutron aneuk dilaksanakan ketika bayi berumur antara 40 hari sampai tujuh bulan. Rangkaian pelaksanaannya diawali dengan peucicap, peusijuk, peugilho tanoh, tamong bak rumoh, dan diakhiri dengan kanduri. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara, diketahui bahwa tradisi peutron aneuk di desa Matang Seulimeng merupakan resepsi dari hadis tawasul dan tafā’ul. Melalui analisis teori fungsional informatif dan performatif oleh Sam D. Gill, ditemukan bahwa hadis tawasul dan tafā’ul tersebut mengandung aspek informatif terhadap tradisi peutron aneuk.]
