This study analyzes the effect of the East Java community's level of trust and understanding on their intention to pay zakat through zakat institutions in Indonesia. The researcher used two variables to measure the extent of the East Java community's intention in paying zakat through the Zakat Foundation: the level of trust and community understanding level. The study using the quantitative method and statistical analysis with the regression method. The data was analyzed using SPSS 25. Therefore, this study indicates that trust and understanding levels have a significant and statistically significant impact on people's willingness to pay Zakat through Zakat institutions in East Java, Indonesia.
