<![CDATA[Learning motivation was identified as a crucial aspect in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities. The presence of learning motivation in students triggered them to sharpen their critical thinking skills during their educational journey. This study aimed to conduct a literature review examining critical thinking skills from the perspective of student learning motivation. The research method employed was the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection involved identifying and examining all articles that shared the same research topic. A total of 22 national and international journal articles from various sources were used. The research found that learning motivation in mathematics played a significant role in students' critical thinking abilities. Students with low learning motivation tended to learn out of obligation, impacting their critical thinking skills. They were inclined to solve problems procedurally, without deeply engaging or critically analyzing the issues and answers.]]>
