This research discusses the influence of communication within the farmer's family on farmers' interest in participating, with the aim of finding out whether communication within the family has on the interest of tidal swamp farmers in participating in agricultural insurance (rice farming insurance / AUTP) with the concept Revised Family Communication Pattern Theory - RFCPT. The research method used is quantitative statistics with a questionnaire as the research instrument, and data collection uses the Simple Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were 476 tidal swamp land farmers in Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala Regency who took part in Agricultural Insurance and a sample of 86 respondents was obtained which was determined using the Slovin formula. Data analysis in this study used simple linear regression analysis with research results showing that there was a strong positive influence of 0.752 between communication within farming families on interest in agricultural insurance (rice farming insurance / AUTP). Hypothesis testing was carried out by analyzing the results of the t test (t-test) between communication variables in farming families and interest variables in participating in agricultural insurance (rice farming insurance / AUTP), statistical calculations using the help of the SPSS version 29.0 application. The results obtained a significance value (Sig.) of 0.000, which means less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), and based on the t value, a value of 10.988 was obtained, from which it can be seen that it is greater than 1.985 (10.878 > 1.985), so it can be concluded that H0 rejected, and Ha accepted. So, the results of the research show that communication within farming families influences the interest of tidal swamp farmers in participating in agricultural insurance (Asuransi Usahatani Padi / AUTP).
