<![CDATA[This research uses qualitative methods, which is the subject of this research, namely Scenario Planning (Planning Scenario) for Sustainable Conservation of Lake Limboto in Gorontalo Regency. Data collection techniques obtained from interviews, observation, and documentation, with technical data analysis using an interactive analysis model whose procedures include: data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with the help of SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) and PEST analysis - Plus (Political, Economic, Social, Technological and Environmental.The results of this research show 1) Important conditions that threaten the desirability of Lake Limboto, based on economic conditions, show that the high economic dependence of the community on the lake has resulted in the erosion of the lake's productivity to meet economic needs. Likewise with climate conditions, sensitivity to climate risks such as rising air temperatures has the potential to trigger an air crisis. Likewise in political conditions, where the low level of support for preventing the poisoning of Lake Limboto is an important concern. (2) Explaining an effective planning scenario in achieving Lake Limboto conservation. There are five steps in the planning scenario which show that there are obstacles, namely lack of a monitoring system, lack of in-depth analysis, poor decision making, limitations in designing strategies, and ineffective actions. . Meanwhile, from the perspective of sustainable development in the aspects of environmental protection and consumption of natural resources, serious threats such as deforestation, uncontrolled residential growth and excessive fishing can disrupt lake ecosystems. Based on the results of the empirical presentation of these two focuses, existing and recommended models were prepared. Discussion of research results using relevant theories and concepts as analytical tools in studying Scenario Planning (Planning Scenarios) for Sustainable Conservation of Lake Limboto in Gorontalo Regency. Based on both results presented empirically and analyzed theoretically which are then built through research propositions, both minor and major propositions, research recommendations are finally formulated.]]>
