Abstract

This research elaborates on learning methods at boarding schools in Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi by raising the following problem formulations: 1) What are the learning methods used in boarding schools in Polewali Mandar, 2) How is the learning method used in the teaching and learning process at boarding schools in Polewali Mandar? By raising the problem formulation above, the author found that the learning methods used in boarding schools in Polewali Mandar use various learning methods such as: sorongan, bandongan, lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and others, this is influenced in terms of the teacher's educational background, the characteristics of the pesantren, and the objectives of each pesantren. Penelitian ini mengurai tentang metode pembelajaran pada pondok pesantren di Polewali Mandar Sulawesi Barat dengan mengangkat rumusan masalah sebagai berikut: 1) Apa saja metode pembelajaran yang digunakan pada pondok pesantren di Polewali Mandar?, 2) Bagaimana metode pembelajaran tersebut digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar pada pondok pesantren di Polewali Mandar?. Dengan mengangkat rumusan masalah di atas penulis menemukan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan pada pondok pesantren di Polewali Mandar menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran seperti: sorongan, bandongan, ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan lainnya, hal ini dipengaruhi dari segi latar belakang pendidikan guru, karakteristik pesantren, dan tujuan dari masing-masing pesantren tersebut.
