PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN DILEMMA STORY PADA MATERI STATISTIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE

Abstract

Abstract One focus of 21st-century education is character education. This kind of education requires changes in learning approaches. One approach can be used is the dilemma story and the think pair share learning model. This research aims to describe the application of the dilemma story approach to statistical material through the think pair share learning model and the constructive values that develop in students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The instruments used consisted of assignments, questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The research subjects were 21 students of grade XII at MA Al-Wathoniyah 43 North Jakarta. The results are: 1) the application of the dilemma story approach to statistics material provides different experiences for students; 2) Applying the dilemma story approach with the think pair share model fosters constructive values in the learning environment, namely deep involvement, working together, communication, empathy, reflective thinking, and critical thinking in the high category. Besides, students have a sense of social awareness and have carriage to express ideas.   Abstrak Salah satu fokus pada pendidikan abad 21 adalah Pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan tersebut menuntut adanya perubahan dalam pendekatan pembelajaran. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah dilemma story dan model pembelajaran think pair share. Pendekatan dan model tersebut perlu diteliti efektivitasnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan dilemma story pada materi statistika melalui model pembelajaran think pair share; 2) mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai konstruktif yang berkembang pada siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tugas, angket dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 21 orang siswa kelas XII MA Al Wathoniyah 43 Jakarta Utara. Hasilnya adalah: 1) penerapan pendekatan dilemma story pada materi statistika dengan model pembelajaran think pair share memberikan pengalaman berbeda kepada siswa; 2) Penerapan pendekatan dilemma story dengan model think pair share menumbuhkan nilai konstruktif pada lingkungan pembelajaran, yaitu keterlibatan mendalam, bekerja sama, komunikasi, empati, berpikir reflektif, dan berpikir kritis dengan kategori tinggi. Selain itu siswa memiliki rasa kepedulian sosial dan menjadi berani untuk mengemukakan pendapat.
