ABSTRACTLiterature learning in schools still requires improvement and learning innovation. Teachers still choose to teach language skills such as writing, listening, listening and speaking rather than providing literary content. This is due to insufficient time allocation and less interesting teaching materials. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of regional storybook teaching materials in literature learning for class IV students at one of the elementary schools in Bekasi Regency. Data collection is carried out by providing tests and documentation. Data processing using SPSS 26 with normality and homogeneity assumption tests and paired T test. This research method uses pretest and posttest experiments. The results of the research state that regional storybook media can improve learning of literature and culture. The stages of learning literature and culture begin with reading, discussing together and appreciating literature in various ways. Teachers should provide activities that focus on literary appreciation rather than just providing literary theory. Keywords: Regional stories, literature, elementary school students
