Abstract

Abstract. The current behavior of bullying remains a major problem for education in Indonesia. There are many factors that contribute to the occurrence of bullying behavior. Teachers and parents have varying ways of responding to and handling bullying behavior. As an observer, the way teachers and parents respond to and handle bullying behavior begins with their perception of bullying behavior. This study aims to find out the perceptions of teachers, parents, and students about bullying behavior. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection using interview methods on 14 respondents, namely 5 teachers, 4 parents, and 5 students. The results showed that the perceptions of teachers and parents have similarities regarding the meaning of bullying behavior, the causes of bullying behavior, and the impact of bullying behavior, but they both do not yet understand the types of bullying behavior and how to handle bullying behavior effectively. On the other hand, students do not understand the meaning of bullying behavior and the types of bullying behavior. However, they are brave enough to report the perpetrator to the school. According to teachers and parents, the handling given is effective in reducing bullying behavior, while according to students, the handling is not enough to stop bullying behavior in schools. Differences in the perceptions of teachers, parents, and students can be influenced by individual differences and cultural influences. Abstrak. Perilaku bullying saat ini masih menjadi permasalahan besar bagi pendidikan di Indonesia. Terdapat banyak faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perilaku bullying. Guru dan orang tua memiliki cara yang beragam dalam menanggapi dan menangani perilaku bullying. Sebagai pengamat, cara guru dan orang tua menanggapi dan menangani perilaku bullying diawali dari persepsi mereka mengenai perilaku bullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu persepsi guru, orang tua, dan siswa mengenai perilaku bullying. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara terhadap 14 orang responden yaitu 5 orang guru, 4 orang tua, dan 5 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru dan orang tua memiliki kesamaan mengenai pemaknaan perilaku bullying, penyebab terjadinya perilaku bullying, dan dampak perilaku bullying, tetapi keduanya belum memahami tipe-tipe perilaku bullying dan cara menangani perilaku bullying secara efektif. Disisi lain siswa tidak memahami makna dari perilaku bullying dan tipe-tipe perilaku bullying. Tetapi untuk penanganan siswa berani melaporkan pelaku pada pihak sekolah. Menurut guru dan orang tua bahwa penanganan yang diberikan cukup efektif mengurangi perilaku bullying, sedangkan menurut siswa bahwa penanganan yang dilakukan tidak menghentikan perilaku bullying di sekolah. Perbedaan persepsi guru, orang tua, dan siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan individu dan pengaruh budaya.
