Abstract: This research aims to test the effectiveness of poster media based on local wisdom in learning to write procedural texts. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research approach. The research was carried out at Ahmad Yani Sukorami Middle School in classes VII-A and VII-B. The data collection technique was carried out using a non-test method in the form of an assignment to write procedural texts. The instruments used are assessment sheets and assignment sheets for writing procedure texts. The research results show that there are significant differences in the implementation of the pretest and posttest. The use of learning poster media based on local wisdom is effective for learning to write procedures for class VII students. This is evidenced by the increase in the calculated average pretest and posttest scores which increased by 9.45. Apart from that, based on the t-test results it can be seen that sig(2-tailed) 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. Thus, it is stated that poster media based on local wisdom is effectively applied in learning to write procedural texts for class VII students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media poster berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan ancangan penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Ahmad Yani Sukorami pada kelas VII-A dan VII-B. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode nontes berupa penugasan menulis teks prosedur. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian dan lembar penugasan menulis teks prosedur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada pelaksanaan pretest dan posttest. Penggunaan media poster pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal efektif untuk pembelajaran menulis prosedur siswa kelas VII. Hal ini dibuktikan dari kenaikan rata-rata hitung skor pretest dan postest yang mengalami kenaikan sebesar 9,45. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil uji-t dapat diketahui bahwa sig(2-tailed) 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan demikian, dinyatakan bahwa media poster berbasis kearifan lokal efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII.
