Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan kemampuan siswa untuk memahami bahwa matematika terdiri dari berbagai topik yang saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Berdasarkan observasi awal di MAN 1 Kerinci menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi siswa masih bermasalah atau masih rendah, hal ini ditandai dengan ketidakmampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan koneksi matematis berupa soal fungsi eksponensial. Adapun tujuan penelitian ialah untuk melihat pengaruh self – directed learning dan disposisi berpikir terbuka aktif terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa secara simultan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran angket self – directed learning dan angket disposisi berpikir terbuka aktif serta soal tes kemampuan koneksi matematis. Adapun sampel terdiri dari siswa kelas X MIA yang berjumlah 95 orang responden. Berdasarkan penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa self – directed learning dan disposisi berpikir terbuka aktif memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis secara simultan. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa harus mengembangkan self – directed learning dan disposisi berpikir terbuka aktif dengan melakukan upaya belajar secara mandiri dan berpikiran terbuka. The ability of mathematical connections is the ability of students to understand that mathematics consists of various topics that are interrelated with one another. Based on the initial observations in MAN 1 Kerinci showed that the ability of students' connections is still problematic or still low, this is marked by the inability of students to solve problems related to mathematical connections in the form of exponential functions. The purpose of the study is to see the effect of self-direct learning and the disposition of active open thinking on the ability of students' mathematical connections simultaneously. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with the type of correlational research. Data collection is done by spreading the Self-Directed Learning Questionnaire and the Disposition of Active Disposition Disposition and Mathematical Connection Ability Test Questions. The sample consisted of class X Mia students totaling 95 respondents. Based on this research it was found that self-direct learning and the disposition of active open thinking affected the ability of mathematical connection simultaneously. So, it can be concluded that students must develop self-direct learning and a disposition of active open thinking by making efforts to learn independently and open-minded.
