Bhayangkara Kendari. ABSTRACT Efforts to realize the demands of patients and the public related to quality pharmaceutical services are closely related to the quantity and quality of pharmaceutical personnel. Prescription service data in IFRS Bhayangkara Kendari in 2023 reached 7000 to 10,000 per month. This study analyzes the workload and the need for pharmacy personnel in the Pharmacy Installation of Bhayangkara Kendari Hospital. The Work Sampling method was used to measure workload, while the Workload Indicator Staffing Needs (WISN) method was used to measure staffing needs based on workload. This research is included in the type of descriptive qualitative research which data management uses descriptive quantitative research studies. This research is an observational descriptive research. Researchers conducted work sampling observations on 12 pharmacy technical personnel (Pharmacist Assistants) and document review, and conducted in-depth interviews with 4 key informants, namely the Head of IFRS Bhayangkara Kendari, Pharmacist in Charge of Outpatient, Inpatient and Pharmacy Warehouse. The results showed that the workload of pharmacy technicians (Assistant Pharmacists) at the Bhayangkara Kendari Pharmacy Installation was in the high workload category (80%), with a ratio value of activity and delay sampling of 0.07, a performance sampling value of 92%, and an average work measurement of pharmacy technicians (Assistant Pharmacists) working 8 hours per day, both shift and non-shift Excess work time will be counted as overtime. Based on the results of the work sampling, then calculated labor requirements with the WISN method, it turns out that the number of existing personnel is smaller than the needs, namely 12 pharmaceutical technical personnel (Pharmacist Assistants) from the number of needs, namely 18 pharmaceutical technical personnel (Pharmacist Assistants). Based on this research, it is recommended to the Pharmacy Installation to reduce the workload of officers by accelerating the recruitment process or adding pharmaceutical technical personnel.
