Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of work-life balance and job satisfaction on employee retention at the main branch office of PT BCA in Malang. This causal associative study elucidates the causal relationship between the research variables. Using total sampling, all 103 population members, employees of the said office, were involved as the respondents. The research instrument has been tested, and the data was processed using descriptive statistics analysis and path analysis in SmartPLS 3.0. this study finds that work-life balance positively and significantly affects employee retention, that work-life balance positively and significantly influences job satisfaction, that job satisfaction positively and significantly affects employee retention, and that work-life balance indirectly influences employee retention through the mediation of job satisfaction. Based in these findings, the main branch office of PT BCA in Malang is suggested to maintain and improve the employees’ work-life balance and job satisfaction in order to enhance employee retention.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work-life balance dan job satisfaction terhadap employee retention pada PT. BCA KCU Malang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian asosiatif kausal yang menjelaskan hubungan sebab akibat antara variabel-variabel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 103 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan sampling total, yaitu menggunakan seluruh anggota populasi karyawan yang bekerja di PT. BCA KCU Malang sebagai sampel penelitian. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan alat analisis yang digunakan, yaitu uji instrumen penelitian dan analisis jalur melalui software smartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap employee retention. Work-life balance juga memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap job satisfaction. Job satisfaction memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap employee retention. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap employee retention melalui job satisfaction sebagai variabel mediasi. PT. BCA KCU Malang diharapkan dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas work-life balance dan job satisfaction karyawan sehingga dapat meningkatkan employee retention pada PT. BCA.
