ABSTRACTAnemia of pregnancy can occur due to the normal changes that occur during pregnancy. The results of Riskesdas 2018 state that in Indonesia 48.9% of pregnant women experience anemia. As many as 84.6% of anemia in pregnant women occurred in the age group 15-24 years. Anemia in pregnant women can be treated pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for anemia is to consume sweet potatoes. Sweet is one type of tuber plant that has a high carbohydrate content. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sweet potato consumption on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with TM I-III.This type of research is quantitative, quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest – posttest design approach, the sample population is the average visit of pregnant women in the last 3 months of the October-December 2020 period as many as 54 respondents, purposive sampling technique, univariate and bivariate data analysis using t-test.The average hemoglobin level in pregnant women TM I-III before being given sweet potato with a Mean 10.378 Standard Deviation 0.3843 and Standard Error 0.0906. The average hemoglobin level in pregnant women TM I-III after being given sweet potatoes with a Mean of 10.528 Standard Deviation 0.3444 and Standard Error 0.0812. The results of the statistical test obtained a P-value = 0.000 (0.05), which means that there is an effect of sweet potato consumption on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women TM I-III in Dewi Anggraeni Midwife Independent Practice, SST Krui Pesisir Barat in 2021. Pregnant women It is hoped that they should actively seek information related to foods that contain lots of iron and can increase the Hb of pregnant women
