Abstract

Abstract

Perineal laceration is an injury to the perineum that occurs due to spontaneous tissue damage or through an episiotomy. One effort to treat perineal wounds after giving birth is to consume pineapple juice (Ananas comosus) which contains bromelain, an enzyme that has anti-inflammatory properties which can help in the healing process of perineal wounds. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of giving pineapple juice (Ananas Comosus) on the healing process of perineal wounds in postpartum women at TPMB in Pandeglang Regency in 2024. This research uses a quantitative Quasy Experiment method with a One Group Pre-test Post-test design. The sampling technique for this research was total sampling of 35 respondents. The research period was March - May 2024. The results showed that the majority of postpartum mothers experienced poor perineal wounds (74.3%) in the pretest and good wound healing (82.9%) in the posttest. Statistical test with the Wiloxon Sign Rank Test The p-value obtained = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is an effect of giving pineapple juice (Ananas Comosus) on the healing process of perineal wounds in postpartum.

Abstract

The reliability of pedagogical practice is highly dictated by how it enhances science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students’ critical thinking achievement. Adequate pedagogical practice is thus needed in line with the demands of STEM learning in the 21st century, namely achieving optimal critical thinking. This paper reports this pedagogical practice on a topic of polymer film fabrication irradiated with gamma rays. The specific objective was to analyze STEM students’ critical thinking performance in literacy of the aforementioned topic. It is an exploratory study with an experimental method. Only one treatment group was involved, they were STEM students attending the Material Physics Courses. By employing valid critical thinking instruments and adequate methods of analysis, the findings show that literacy on the assigned topic significantly improved STEM students’ CT skills. It was proven that the mean scores of CT indicators have increased in all aspects of the CT assessed. The statistical analysis confirmed that there were significant differences in the CT skills of STEM students between the observations before and after the learning process intervention. The implication of this study is that pedagogical interventions integrated with studies on advanced material modification technology could be effectively used for creating inspiring STEM learning, especially for training STEM students’ critical thinking ways.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia in adolescent girls leads to decreased academic achievement, productivity, and quality of life. Low adherence to Iron Supplement Tablet (IST) consumption, low dietary iron intake, and parental sociodemographic factors are the main risk factors for anemia. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental sociodemographic factors, attitudes, and knowledge about IST and hemoglobin (Hb) levels among students at SMA IT Raflesia, Depok City. Methods: This analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted in September 2025 at SMAIT Raflesia, Depok City. A sample of 70 adolescent girls was selected using purposive sampling. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and Hb level examinations. Data analysis using SPSS included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (Pearson correlation), and multivariate analysis (multiple linear regression). Results: The mean Hb level of the respondents was 11.89 g/dL. Correlation tests showed a significant relationship between the Hb levels of adolescent girls and parental education (p=0.001), adolescent attitude (p=0.001), and knowledge about TTD (p=0.026). Conversely, there was no significant relationship between parental occupation and respondents' Hb levels. Conclusion: Parental education, adolescent attitudes, and knowledge about Iron Supplement Tablets (IST) are variables that show a significant association with hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls, while parental occupation does not show any relationship. Strengthening education about IST and increasing family support are necessary to optimize hemoglobin levels in adolescents.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on the commitment of private Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Bekasi City, West Java, to their organization. In this study, the researcher used the quantitative approach through the survey method. The population of this study comprised private Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Bekasi city, with a total of 383 teachers. The sampling technique employed a multistage random sampling design, encompassing 113 teachers. In this study, the primary data were obtained from the teachers of Madrasah Aliyah in Bekasi City. The data was collected by the result of the questionnaires (2 independent variables: transformational leadership variable and self-efficacy, and one dependent variable: organizational commitment), which were distributed to them. The data presented herein were collected through the implementation of a survey method that incorporated a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques employed in this study encompassed the use of descriptive statistics and quantitative analysis. The hypothesis testing employed in this study involved the implementation of multiple linear regression tests. The findings of this study demonstrate that transformational leadership exerts a substantial influence on commitment to the teacher organization, with a statistical significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Secondly, the findings indicate that self-efficacy has a substantia0.05. Thirdly, the findings of this study demonstrate a substantial relationship between transformational leadership and self-efficacy on commitment to the teacher organization, as evidenced by an adjusted R-squared value of 0.367.
