The incidence of hypertension in the elderly is increasing day by day. Family informative support is needed as an effort to help maintain blood pressure in the elderly to remain stable, in addition to a healthy lifestyle and medication. The purpose of this study was to link informative family support with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. Cross-sectional design, with sa sample of 42 elderly using 'simple random sampling technique'. The instruments were an informative family support questionnaire and an observation sheet for hypertension. Fisher's exact test was used for data analysis. The results illustrate that most of the respondents have less informative family support (57.1%), most of the respondents have stage 3 hypertension (52.4%) and family informative support correlates with 'hypertensive incidence' of the elderly in Posyandu Kemala, Klojen District, Malang City (p value = 0.000).
