<![CDATA[Hormonal contraceptives work by suppressing the function of the ovaries so that they do not produce ovum. Using hormonal contraception will cause women to enter menopause longer or older. One of the reasons for women who experience early menopause is due to the use of non-hormonal contraceptives. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of hormonal family planning and menopause age in Sei Tatas Village.This type of research is an observational an correlational analytics alytic study with a cross sectional method. The population in this study were all elderly women aged 45-60 years with a total of 141 people, taking samples using the Acidental sampling technique with a sample size of 59 people. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Univariate analysis using frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. 39 respondents (66.1%) using hormonal contraceptives and 20 nonhormonal users (33.9%). There were 17 people (28.8%) experiencing early menopause, 32 people (53.2 %) normal menopause and 10 people (16.9%) late menopause. The results of the chi square test analysis showed the P value = 0.036 < = 0.05. There is a relationship between the history of the use of hormonal contraception and the age of menopause in elderly women in Sei Tatas Village. ABSTRAK Kontrasepsi hormonal bekerja dengan menekan fungsi indung telur sehingga tidak memproduksi sel telur. Menggunakan kontrasepsi hormonal akan menyebabkan wanita lebih lama atau lebih tua memasuki usia menopause. Wanita yang mengalami menopause dini salah satunya disebakan karena penggunan kb non hormonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan penggunaan kb hormonal terhadap usia menopause di Desa Sei Tatas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik korelasional dengan metode cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini semua wanita lanjut usia 45-60 tahun yang ada di dengan jumlah 141 orang, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Acidental sampling dengan besar sampel 59 orang. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square. Didapatkan responden pengguna Kb hormonal sebanyak 39 orang (66.1%) dan non hormonal sebanyak 20 orang (33.9%). Terdapat 17 orang (28.8 %) mengalami menopause dini, 32 orang (53.2 %) menopause normal dan 10 orang (16.9%) menopause terlambat. Hasil analisis uji chi square menunjukkan nilai P value = 0.036 < α = 0.05. Adanya hubungan antara riwayat penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal dengan usia menopause pada wanita usia lanjut di Desa Sei Tatas.]]>
