Abstract

21st century education requires students to have a variety of skills, including critical thinking. One effective learning method to improve students' critical thinking skills is Role Playing. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of applying the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This research uses library methods by collecting data from various sources such as books, scientific journals and online articles. Data were analyzed descriptively to understand the effectiveness of the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Discussion Results The Role Playing Method is a learning method that involves students in playing roles to simulate certain situations. This method has several benefits for students, including: Training students to think openly, Helping students in making decisions, Improving students' academic achievement, Helping students develop emotional intelligence, Improving students' language skills. Based on a literature review, the Role Playing method has been proven to be effective in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This method can help students to develop various important skills for the 21st century.
