<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe role of the employment contract is very important, the employment contract is an agreement between the worker and the entrepreneur which contains the termsof employment, rights and obligations of each party. The contents of theemployment contract must comply with the regulations stipulated in Law Number13 of 2003 concerning employment. A work agreement is an important agreementbetween workers and employers which contains the rights and obligations of eachparty. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of employment contracts inprotecting PT Aloe Vera Indonesia employees in Pontianak City and analyze thecontents of PT Aloe Vera Indonesia employment contracts. This research uses empirical methods by collecting information through interviews with HRD Managers and employees of PT. Aloe Vera Indonesia. From the results of the interview, qualitative data will be obtained.Contract of PT Aloe Vera Indonesia is generally in accordance with the Employment Law. This can be seen from several points such as wages, working hours, social security, occupational safety and health. However, there is one point that is not in accordance with the employment law, namely related to severance pay. The employment contract states that employees are not entitled to severance pay if the employment relationship ends and this statement is contrary to employment law. Because in general, employment contracts are an important tool for protecting employee rights and providing legal certainty in employment relationships. The employment contract must be made in writing and contain all the matters required by the Employment Law and employees need to understand the contents of the employment contract well.Keywords: Employment, Employee Protection, Company PoliciABSTRACK Peran kontrak kerja sangatlah penting, kontrak kerja merupakan perjanjian antara pekerja dan pengusaha yang memuat syarat-syarat kerja, hak dan kewajiban masing-masing pihak. Isi dalam kontrak kerja harus sesuai dengan peraturan yang telah ditetapkan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang ketenagakerjaan. Perjanjian kerja merupakan perjanjian penting antara pekerja dan pengusaha yang memuat hak dan kewajiban masing-masing pihak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peran kontrak kerja dalam melindungi karyawan PT Aloe Vera Indonesia di Kota Pontianak dan menganalisis muatan kontrak kerja PT.Aloe Vera Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode empiris dengan cara pengumpulan informasi melalui wawancara kepada HRD Manager dan karyawan PT.Aloe Vera Indonesia. Dari hasil wawancara akan diperoleh data yang kualitatifKontrak kerja PT Aloe Vera Indonesia secara umum sudah sesuai dengan UU Ketenagakerjaan. Hal ini terlihat dari beberapa poin seperti upah, jam kerja, jaminan sosial, keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Namun, terdapat satu poin yang belum sesuai dengan UU ketenagakerjaan, yaitu terkait dengan pesangon. Kontrak kerja menyatakan bahwa karyawan tidak berhak atas pesangon jika hubungan kerja berakhir dan pernyataan ini bertentangan dengan UU ketenagakerjaan. Karena secara umum,kontrak kerja merupakan alat yang penting untuk melindungi hak-hak karyawan dan memberikan kepastian hukum dalam hubungan kerja.
