Capital and lack of access to banks are problems often faced by MSMEs. So it is necessary to have the role of Islamic microfinance institutions in providing convenience for MSME actors through murabaha financing to improve their business. However, in maintaining or increasing the business, an attitude of independence is also needed, because with independence, MSME actors can survive and not depend on other people or financing. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of KSPPS BMT Nurul Jannah Gresik murabahah financing on the improvement and business independence of MSME actors. With the method used, namely a quantitative approach with simple random sampling technique, and the results obtained were 60 samples through the Slovin formula. The data was collected through a questionnaire, then analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) technique to test the measurement and structural models, with the analytical tool used, namely SmartPLS 3.0. This study provides the results that KSPPS BMT Nurul Janah Gresik murabahah financing has a significant effect on increasing business and business independence of MSME actors. This study provides implications for the research object institution to conduct market research regarding the margins charged on financing to customers by other institutions, because the amount of margin can be one of the determining factors for customers to choose the intended institution.
