This study aims to identify and describe a comparison of democratic governance systems in ASEAN countries. The method used in this study is descriptive comparative with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through literature studies related to this research. The results of the study show that in general the members of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries experience global developments towards cooperation in various social, political and cultural fields. The ASEAN community of countries aims to realize and fight for Southeast Asia as a region that is safe, comfortable, peaceful, free and neutral. In essence, each member of ASEAN countries has a different system of government. A striking system of democratic government can be seen in the presence of state leaders who are directly elected by the people. The democratic governance systems of ASEAN countries are actually quite diverse in each country. Therefore, this research and analysis focuses on ASEAN member countries with democratic government systems such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore, Laos and the Philippines.
