Based on the Jambi Province profile data for 2020, it shows that the incidence of hypertension at the puskesmas in Jambi Province ranks first from 2018 to 2020. The survey results show that most 86% do not know about treating hypertension using clever and obedient methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of hypertension sufferers. This research is a qualitative research with Quasy experimental design. The population in this study were hypertension sufferers. The sample in this study were 10 people with a purposive sampling technique. Analysis was carried out through univariate and bivariate analysis with t dependent test. This research was conducted from November 26 to May 21, 2023. Based on the results of univariate analysis it showed that the average knowledge before health education was given was 47% and knowledge after health education was 76%. Based on the results of the T-dependent test, it shows that the p value of 0.029 is smaller than the value of α (0.05) meaning that there is an effect of providing health education about CERDIK and PATUH management on the knowledge of respondents who suffer from hypertension. For this reason, Health Workers need to always conduct health education about CERDIK and PATUH to all hypertension sufferers so that they understand and are able to apply SMART and PATUH behaviour to treat hypertension.
