Prosiding Seminar Kesehatan Nasional ISSN 3031-8572 (Online) ini merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (PPPM) Universitas Baiturrahim. Abstract

Myogenic low back pain is pain related to stress or strain on the back muscles, tendons and ligaments which is usually present when excessive daily activities are carried out, such as sitting or standing for too long as well as lifting heavy objects in the wrong way. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) Such as low back pain needs to get attention because it can become a problem such as lost work time, reduced work productivity, treatment requires high costs, decreased alertness, increases the risk of accidents, etc. Prevention of low back myogenic pain can be in the form of health education to batik craftsmen using exercise control sheet media. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a one group pre-test post-test design. The sample in this study amounted to 10 people. The sampling technique is by means of proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis used in this study was an analysis to determine the effect before and after being given a control sheet using Wilcoxon. The results showed that after static stretching exercise, using a control sheet did not make positive changes for batik craftsmen who experienced lower back myogenic pain

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders are generally found in individuals who work in a sitting position for a long time and are not ergonomic. The group of batik workers located in Jambi City is home Industry. Based on the results of a preliminary study conducted in February 2022 on 30 (100%) workers who experienced complaints such as neck pain, back pain, waist and shoulders. Complaints of musculoskeletal disolders need attention because they can become a problem such as lost work time, reduced work productivity, high costs for handling them, decreased alertness, increased risk of accidents, etc. Based on direct observations and discussions with the management of the Kajanglako batik studio, several problems were encountered, namely: Low knowledge of batik workers and how to prevent musculoskeletal disorders due to batik. Community service activities were carried out at the Kajanglako Batik Studio across Jambi City which were held in March-May 2022 with a total of 30 participants. The methods implemented in this community service are counseling, lectures and discussions using posters and infocus media, while ways to prevent musculoskeletal disorders are soldered with direct practice methods in the form of demonstrations of stretching exercises. The results of this community service showed an increase in knowledge with a good percentage of understanding of respondents 23 people (77%), while 5 people (17%), less 2 people (7%), while the ability of respondents to demonstrate stretching exercises after exercise also increased. ie respondents were able to do stretching exercise independently as much as 80%

Abstract

In Indonesia, people with cholesterol reach 28%. Even more surprising, it turns out that 7.9% of people in the world die from diseases that occur as complications of uncontrolled cholesterol levels. The goals  of the activity is to increase the knowledge of the Kelurahan Talang Banjar community about the importance of knowing and understanding cholesterol-related material starting from understanding, causes, signs and symptoms, prevention and treatment measures to control cholesterol levels in the blood. The method of implementing the activity is carried out by approaching the community, sorting data about the cholesterol levels of the participants and analyzing it, providing health education in the form of an explanation about cholesterol starting from the definition, causes, signs and symptoms, precautions and treatment to control cholesterol levels in the blood. Grouping community data according to the condition of cholesterol levels and their age, conveying cholesterol level prevention and control programs, and conducting oral evaluations. The results of the activity are increasing knowledge, optimizing the role of the community, forming a community on standby to prevent and control cholesterol levels. This activity as a whole has been able to make the community better, able to monitor the health of oneself, family and society and able to think critically in acting according to the situation.

Abstract

 Elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 years, the elderly experience various changes both physically, mentally, and socially. Changes that are physical, stamina, and appearance. One of the physical changes experienced by the elderly is balance disorders. Balance disorders that occur in the elderly are caused by changes in the neurological or central nervous system, the sensory system, especially the visual system, proprioception, and changes in the vestibular and musculoskeletal systems. To find out the management of physiotherapy in conditions of balance disorders with the core stability and tandem walking  exercise can improve balance and in the elderly. After six therapeutic actions with core stability exercise using bridging exercise techniques for four times a week with six repetitions and tandem exercise walking three times a week with 3-6 meters, the results showed an increase in balance and an increase in the ability of functional activities. Core stability and walking tandem exercise can improve balance and improve the ability of functional activities in the elderly.

Abstract

Plantar fasciitis is a heel pain syndrome where there is inflammation or irritation of the plantar fascia, with small tears in the area that attaches to the heel bone that is characterized by pain in the morning when you get up to stand and when you first step. Pain will recur in the afternoon or before bedtime when after doing various excessive and continuous activities. This study aims to determine the management of physiotherapy in bilateral plantar fasciitis using phonophoresis and foot core strengthening modalities in reducing pain, increasing muscle strength, and increasing functional activity. The method used is a case study method with one respondent, conducted in July 2022 with therapy four times a week. The measuring instrument used in this case study is pain with VAS, muscle strength with MMT, and functional activity with the jette scale. The results after being given four treatments of therapy, it was found that there was a reduction in pain, no increase in muscle strength, and an increase in functional activity. The conclusion of this study is that phonophoresis and foot core strengthening can reduce pain, there is no increase in muscle strength and increase in functional activity.

Abstract

DM Type 2 is diabetes caused by the body's failure to utilize insulin, which leads to increased blood sugar levels and decreased physical activity, Body Weight Training and Diabetes Gymnastics methods that can affect a person's body strength level, especially in leg muscle strength and high blood sugar levels. tall. To find out the management of physiotherapy in lowering blood sugar levels and increasing leg muscle strength using body weight training and diabetes gymnastics methods. After doing physiotherapy actions using body weight training and diabetes gymnastics with a dose of 3-5 times a week, the results showed an increase in leg muscle strength and a decrease in blood sugar levels. Body Weight Training and Diabetes Gymnastics can increase leg muscle strength and lower blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Elderly (elderly) is the final stage of development in the human life cycle. With increasing age, physiological functions in the body will decrease due to the aging process, so there will be many diseases that appear when you are old. One of the diseases experienced by the elderly is hypertension. Hypertension in the elderly can occur due to changes in the elasticity of the aortic wall decreased, the heart valves thicken and become stiff, the heart's ability to pump blood decreases, so that its contraction and volume decreases, and loses elasticity of blood vessels due to less effectiveness of peripheral blood vessels for oxygen, increased resistance peripheral blood vessels. This study aims to determine the management of slow deep breathing physiotherapy and Swedish massage therapy on reducing blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension. After five therapeutic actions with slow deep breathing exercises for 3 times a week and Swedish Massage Therapy three times a week, the results showed that there was a decrease in blood pressure in the hypertensive elderly. Slow deep breathing exercise and swedish massage therapy can lower blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension.

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy is categorized as one of the complications of pregnancy in addition to bleeding and infection. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a condition where the systolic has increased by 140 mmHg or more and the diastolic has reached 90 mmHg or more. This study aims to determine the management of physiotherapy in lowering blood pressure and helping to overcome problems that arise due to hypertension in pregnant women with hydrotherapy and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) modalities. After doing physiotherapy using hydrotherapy and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) with a dose of 6 times for 6 consecutive days, the results were a decrease in blood pressure, a decrease in pain and a decrease in muscle spasm. Abstract

 Agility is the ability to performs movements in short time or quickly in the shortest possible time. Agility is the continuity between the combination of flexibility by the body and the continuity of the muscles that work to produce simple and complex movements, agility is a complex set of skills that a person performs to respond to external stimuli with deceleration, change of direction and reacceleration. So the characteristics of agility are the speed and accuracy of changes in running direction, changes in body position, and changes in the directions of body parts. To know the implementation of physiotherapy with cone drill exercise on the levels of agility of volleyball athletes. The results of the exercise carried out using the cone drill exercise method are there was an increase in agility in volleyball athletes with a training does of 6 times with a frequency of 3 times a week, performed in three sets and duration 20 seconds.

Abstract

Neck pain is pain that arises in the area bounded above by the nuchal line and below by a transverse imaginary line through the end of the first thoracic spinous process and laterally by the lateral margin of the neck. Prevalence of neck pain cases 426,000, 25-31 years of age 5%, 32-38 years 13%, 39-45 years 25%, 46-52 years 20%, 53-59 years 20%, 60-66 as much as 6%. The community service activity was carried out on February 12, 2022 with 30 batik makers participating with pre and post assessment instruments using a numerical rating scale. Education by giving leaflets about neck pain and mc.kenzie cervical exercise, namely stretching and active exercise, is done 1 repetition with 8 repetitions of the movement, then demonstration of the movement to batik workers across Jambi City. The results of this community service obtained an increase in knowledge with a good percentage of understanding of respondents 26 people (86%), while 4 people (14%) and ability of respondents to practice Mc. Kenzie cervical exercise after exercise also experienced an increase
