ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of snakes and ladders media on the narrative writing skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 26 Gelumbang. This type of research uses a quasy experiment with a non-equivalent group design. The research sample was fourth grade students at SD Negeri 26 Gelumbang. Divided into pretest and posttest. The research results can be proven through hypothesis testing Pretest .186 <.001 which shows no difference between the experimental and control classes. Meanwhile the posttest results were .647>.024 which showed that ho was accepted. From the results of the study it can be concluded that snakes and ladders media can have a significant effect on the narrative writing skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 26 Gelumbang. Jenis penelitian menggunakan quasy experiment dengan non-equivalent group design. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 26Gelumbang. Dibagi menjadi pretes dan postest. Hasil penelitian dapat dibuktikan melalui uji hipotesis Pretest .186<,001 yang menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Sementara itu hasil postest .647>.024 yang menunjukkan bahwa ho di terima. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dapat berpengaruh signifikan media ular tangga terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 26 Gelumbang.
