AbstractThis study aims to determine the adequacy of energy calorie intake of martialarts athletes during the training center (TC) for the XX PON in Papua. Thisresearch is a quantitative descriptive survey. The population and sample in thisstudy were martial arts athletes who were carrying out the TC program totaling12 athletes. Data analysis with Nutrisurvey then presented with descriptivestatistics. The results showed that the average athlete had a normal nutritionalstatus. To fulfill 100% of energy calories, athletes experience a lack of energyintake, on average athletes are only able to meet their calorie intake of 46% ofthe total energy needed. Energy consumption from carbohydrate and proteinsources of athletes has been fulfilled with the percentage of carbohydratefulfillment 52.22% and protein 16.22%. while for the fulfillment of energy fromfat sources, athletes consume excess fat with a percentage of 32.22%. Theconclusion is that athletes can only meet energy intake of 46% of the total needed,but from the composition of energy from carbohydrate and protein sources it isappropriate even though from fat sources there is an excess.Keywords: Energy Calories, PON 2021, Martial Arts
