Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using gadgets on the social behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Teratai Hamlet, Tumbang Titi District, Ketapang Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The research subjects were children aged 5-6 years in the Teratai Hamlet, Tumbang Titi District, Ketapang Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study were participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: 1. The impact of using gadgets on the ability of empathy in children is that children can feel what other people feel children are also able to understand non-verbal language, children have poor emotional abilities 2. The impact of using gadgets on cooperative abilities in children, children can join playing in groups although there are still children who are shy and not good at controlling emotions while playing and have poor sharing skills, 3. The impact of using gadgets on caring for children, children have a high sense of sympathy and can help others with their own awareness and there is one child who is willing to help if asked by his parents first
