PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN IPA BERBASIS STEM TERINTEGRASI KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA JERUK KALAMANSI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMPN 11 KOTA BENGKULU

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran IPA berbasis STEM terintegrasi kearifan lokal pada jeruk kalamansi terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di dua kelas VIII SMPN 11 Kota Bengkulu. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang sebelumnya telah diuji normalitas dan homogenitas diperoleh siswa kelas VIII H sebagai kelas uji coba (eksperimen) dan siswa kelas VIII G sebagai kelas pembanding (kontrol). Jumlah siswa yang terlibat sebanyak 36 siswa yang terdiri dari 18 siswa dari kelas VIII G dan 18 siswa dari kelas VIII H. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Research tipe nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk hasil belajar IPA. Hasil analisis data, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara siswa yang menggunakan model project based learning dengan model discovery learning, yaitu hasil uji-t pada thitung sebesar 1.59 kurang dari ttabel  sebesar 2.120. Sehingga Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Hasil ini juga memperkuat bahwa kedua kelas homogen, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua kelas mempunyai kemampuan yang sama.   Kata  kunci : Project based learning, STEM, Jeruk kalamansi, Hasil belajar   ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of implementing STEM-based science learning integrated with local wisdom using kalamansi oranges on student learning outcomes. The research was conducted in two grade VIII SMPN 11 in Bengkulu City. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique which had previously been tested for normality and homogeneity, obtained by class VIII H as a test class (experimental) and class VIII G as a comparison class (control). The number of students involved was 36, consisting of 18 students from class VIII G and 18 students from class VIII H. This type of research was a quasi-experiment research type of nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques using tests for science learning outcomes. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant impact between students who use the project-based learning model and the discovery learning model, namely the t-test results at a t-count of 1.59, less than the t-table of 2.120. So Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. This result also strengthens the hypothesis that the two classes are homogeneous, so it can be concluded that the two classes have the same ability.   Keywords : Project based learning, STEM, kalamansi oranges, learning outcomes
