<![CDATA[This Classroom Action Research aims to help solve student problems through group counseling services using free association methods and play therapy. The research subjects were class X1 SMAN Tegalombo. Where the data analysis technique uses a qualitative approach (Milles and Huberman) which includes data collection, data reduction, data exposure, triangulation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1. The free association technique helps make it easier for students to uncover problems, problems that were successfully collected by the counselor through the free association technique, namely, fear of not going to class, being scolded by parents, afraid of teachers, not doing assignments, not being able to concentration and compassed friends. 2. Through play therapy activities students become happy, familiar, not awkward. 3. Implementation of group counseling in cycle I there are still students who are less communicative, and there are students who have carried out counseling decisions but the problem is not resolved, there are those who have not carried out counseling decisions and there are those who carry out counseling decisions where problems are resolved but new problems arise, so that in group counseling cycle II the counselor mediates with the party causing the problem and uses the "Empty Chair" technique so that in group counseling cycle II all students are communicative and the problem is resolved. Finally, from this study it can be concluded that the use of free association techniques and play therapy in group counseling can help solve student problems. ABSTRAKPenelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk membantu mengentaskan masalah siswa melalui layanan konseling kelompok dengan menggunakan metode asosiasi bebas dan play therapy. Subyek penelitian siswa kelas di X 1 SMAN Tegalombo. Dimana teknik analisis datanya menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif (Milles dan Huberman) yang meliputi Koleksi data,reduksi data,pemaparan data,triangulasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1. Teknik assosiasi bebas membantu memudahkan siswa mengungkap masalah,masalah yang berhasil dihimpun oleh konselor melalui teknik assosiasi bebas yaitu, takut tidak naik kelas, dimarahi orang tua, takut pada guru, tidak mengerjakan tugas,tidak bisa konsentrasi dan dikompas teman. 2. Melalui kegiatan play therapy siswa menjadi senang,akrab, tidak canggung. 3. Pelaksanaan konseling kelompok pada siklus I masih ada siswa yg kurang komunikatif, dan ada siswa yang sudah menjalankan keputusan konseling tetapi masalah tidak selesai, ada yang belum menjalankan keputusan konseling dan ada yang menjalankan keputusan konseling dimana masalah terselesaikan tetapi timbul masalah baru, sehingga dalam konseling kelompok siklus II konselor melakukan mediasi dengan pihak penyebab masalah dan menggunakan teknik “Kursi Kosong” sehingga dalam konseling kelompok siklus II semua siswa sudah komunikatif dan masalah terselesaikan. Akhirnya dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik assosiasi bebas dan play therapy dalam konseling kelompok dapat membantu mengentaskan masalah siswa.]]>
