This study examines the role of technology in enhancing the management of pesantren education within the framework of Pesantren 4.0. As centers of Islamic learning, pesantren are increasingly challenged to adapt to the digital age while preserving their cultural and spiritual values. This research explores how technology empowers various aspects of pesantren management, including administration, teaching methods, and learning outcomes. The study highlights key initiatives such as the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS), digitalization of traditional Islamic texts (kitab kuning), and the use of e-learning platforms to complement traditional pedagogies. The findings reveal significant achievements in improving efficiency, accessibility, and innovation within pesantren education, supported by strong leadership, teacher readiness, and collaborative partnerships with the government and private sector. However, the research also identifies challenges such as infrastructure disparities, limited digital literacy, and the high costs of technology implementation. To address these issues, this study offers strategic recommendations, including human resource training, strengthening digital infrastructure, and leveraging localized technology solutions that align with pesantren’s unique educational culture. This study underscores the transformative potential of technology in balancing tradition and innovation, positioning pesantren as resilient and adaptive institutions in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It provides a valuable case study for other Islamic educational institutions seeking to navigate similar transitions.
