Abstract

ABSTRACTAccess to clean water is an essential aspect of the school sanitation program. SD Negeri Kalidadap is one of the schools that still experiences obstacles in accessing clean water in terms of quality and quantity. Implementing rainwater harvesting technology is an alternative solution due to the potential for rainfall distributed throughout the year in the area. This activity aims to apply rainwater harvesting technology as an alternative to providing clean water at SD Negeri Kalidadap, especially for the needs of Washing Hands with Soap (CTPS). Community service activities were carried out in 3 stages: the preparation stage for tools and materials and discussions with the principal, the program implementation stage through socialization and installation of tools, and monitoring and evaluation. The target of this program is the school community at SD Negeri Kalidadap consisting of 8 teachers, 5 educational staffs, and 151 students. Through this community service activity, rainwater harvesting tools have been successfully implemented at SD Negeri Kalidadap as an alternative solution to providing clean water. This community service activity has also increased the understanding of how technology works for residents by 76 - 88%.
