Abstract

Abstract. Self-expression creates a position where the feminine is always associated with women, while men are always synonymous with masculine. However, the phenomenon of feminine men appears to be a differentiator among most men in general, giving rise to gender discrimination or discrimination in perspective in social reality. The purpose of this study is to find out, and understand the factors that cause men to become feminine, how men's self-disclosure on social media and its impact. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of direct observation and in-depth interviews and testing data through source triangulation. The results of this study show that the factors that cause men to become feminine are internal and external factors, especially the environment, the implications of the presence of social media provide a breath of fresh air for them to Self disclosure which confirms that they are feminine men. The reality that is built is actually reversed due to the impact of the freedom of expression of feminine men where one side is seen as effeminate, but the reality actually raises them as influencers. Abstrak. Pengekspresian diri menciptakan suatu kedudukan posisi di mana feminin itu selalu berhubungan dengan perempuan, sedangkan laki-laki selalu identik dengan maskulin. Namun, fenomena laki-laki feminin muncul menjadi pembeda di antara kebanyakan laki-laki umumnya, sehingga menimbulkan diskriminasi gender atau diskriminasi cara pandang dalam realitas sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui, dan memahami faktor yang menyebabkan laki-laki menjadi feminin, bagaimana self-disclosure laki-laki di media sosial dan dampaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi langsung serta wawancara mendalam serta melakukan uji  data melalui triangulasi sumber. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa faktor  penyebab laki-laki menjadi feminin adalah faktor internal dan eksternal terutama lingkungan, Implikasi hadirnya media sosial memberikan angin segar bagi mereka untuk Self disclosure yang menegaskan bahwa mereka adalah laki-laki feminin. Realitas yang terbangun justru terbalik dikarenakan dampak dari kebebasan berekspresi laki-laki feminin dimana satu sisi dipandang banci, akan tetapi realitasnya malah memunculkan mereka sebagai influencer.
