This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management at SD Negeri Puncakmulya Elementary School and understand how effective risk management can contribute to improving educational quality. The research employed a qualitative approach with purposive and snowball sampling techniques, involving school principals, teachers, and school committee members as key informants through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study conducted from August to October 2024. The findings reveal that SD Negeri Puncakmulya faces both internal risks, including low teacher performance, high student absenteeism, and inadequate facilities, and external risks such as natural disasters and changes in educational policies, with risk management implemented through systematic steps of identification, measurement, prevention, risk transfer, and continuous evaluation. The discussion emphasizes that the school's risk management approach aligns with ISO 9001:2015 standards, focusing on managing both speculative and pure risks through proactive strategies such as teacher training programs, student attendance monitoring, and facility improvements, which have shown positive results in maintaining educational quality. This research contributes significant insights for other educational institutions in adopting risk management approaches to enhance their educational quality and sustainability, particularly in the context of elementary education in Indonesia.
