The purpose of this study was to analyze the profile of coastal women's businesses in salted fish processing, to study coastal women's businesses in salted fish processing for increasing their family's income and economy and to study the relationship between external and internal factors that influence (support and inhibit) and empowerment efforts through coaching in salted fish processing in Nenas Siam Village, Medang Deras District, Batu Bara Regency. The method used was qualitative descriptive. The data collected in this study consisted of two types of primary data and secondary data obtained by: (1) using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, (2) interviews using questionnaires were conducted by asking and answering questions directly to selected respondents to obtain primary data, (3) secondary data collection was carried out by reviewing literature related to and relevant to this study and (4) conducting observations, namely direct observations in the field. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed using non-parametric statistical tests (Spearman Rank Correlation).
