<![CDATA[This study describes the factors causing dropouts at the junior high school level in Semarang in 2024/2025. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause children to drop out of school at the Junior High School level in Semarang. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, which are then verified through triangulation. The results showed that there are two main factors that cause children to drop out of school, namely internal factors including intelligence, motivation, level of awareness of students, and dislike of school. As well as external factors such as the state of the family's economic status, parents' educational background, lack of parental attention, and the influence of the social environment that has a negative impact.]]>
