Abstract

Abstrack This research is to assess how well fourth grade students at SDN Undaan Lor 2 are at compiling descriptive essays using square literacy   media based on local wisdom. Thirteen students participated in the experimental and quantitative investigations. Pretest and posttest are two steps in the learning process carried out in one research group. The pretest and posttest results showed an increase of 32.8%, research findings showed that there was quite a large increase in students' ability to write descriptive essays. Three children are classified as medium ability, while ten students have high ability. It is hoped that fourth grade students at SDN Undaan Lor 2 can utilize square literacy   media based on local wisdom as a means to develop their descriptive writing skills.   Abstrak Penelitian ini untuk menilai seberapa baik siswa kelas IV SDN Undaan Lor 2 dalam menyusun karangan deskriptif dengan memanfaatkan media square literacy   berbasis kearifan lokal. Tiga belas siswa berpartisipasi dalam penyelidikan eksperimental dan kuantitatif. Pretest dan posttest merupakan dua langkah dalam proses belajar yang dilakukan dalam satu kelompok penelitian. Hasil pretest dan posttest yang menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 32,8%, temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup besar pada kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskriptif. Tiga anak tergolong dalam kategori kemampuan sedang, sedangkan sepuluh siswa memiliki kemampuan tinggi. Diharapkan siswa kelas IV SDN Undaan Lor 2 dapat memanfaatkan media square literacy   berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai sarana untuk mengembangkan kemampuan menulis deskriptifnya.
