Abstract

Background: Digital transformation has become integral to modernizing government administration in many countries, including Indonesia. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is essential in improving public service efficiency, transparency and accountability. This change is necessary to face the challenges of technological advances and globalization. Objective: This literature review aims to analyze the impact of digitalization on government administration, particularly in terms of efficiency, transparency, and challenges. Methods: This article uses the literature review method with references from international research journals that discuss the implementation of digital administration in various countries, Comments: The literature review shows that ICT implementation improves operational efficiency through process automation, reducing costs and speeding up public services. Digitalization also promotes transparency by providing public access to information online, strengthening government accountability. However, challenges such as cybersecurity, the digital divide, and resistance to change must be overcome for this transformation to succeed. Conclusion: Digitalization of government administration positively impacts efficiency and transparency. However, for successful digital transformation, challenges such as data security and human resource capacity building must be addressed.
