Abstract

ABSTRACTThe rapid development of technology today, encouraging the use of electric energy is a must. It becomes background people competing to save electrical energy. With monitoring, electricity needs can be monitored more easily and efficiently early each month. Monitoring of electrical energy in this paper was applied to the prototype two levels building, that has size 110 cm x 70 cm x 90 cm. Kind of sensors that used in this monitoring are cos phi and current sensors, each sensor is connected to the microcontroller ATMega16. Module XBee Starter Kit was used for communication data that serves to connect the laptop to microcontroller without system wiring. The processing of data obtained from the results of measurements of each sensor is processed by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 software and stored in the database.Keywords : Current Sensor, Cos Phi Sensor, Visual Basic, RF Module Xbee Starter Kit.ABSTRAKPesatnya perkembangan teknologi saat ini, mendorong penggunaan energi listrik menjadi suatu keharusan. Hal tersebut menjadi latar belakang masyarakat berlomba-lomba untuk menghemat energi listrik. Dengan adanya pemonitoringan, kebutuhan listrik tiap bulannya dapat dipantau lebih dini dengan mudah dan efisien. Dalam pemonitoringan energi listrik pada tugas akhir ini diaplikasikan pada prototype gedung dua lantai berukuran 110 cm x 70 cm x 90 cm. Sensor yang digunakan dalam proses monitoring berupa sensor arus dan cos phi, masing-masing sensor dihubungkan dengan mikrokontroler ATMega16. Sedangkan untuk komunikasi datanya digunakan RF Modul XBee Starter Kit yang berfungsi untuk menghubungkan mikrokontroler dengan laptop tanpa menggunakan sistem pengkabelan. Proses pengolahan data yang didapat dari hasil pengukuran masing-masing sensor diolah dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 dan disimpan dalam database.Kata kunci: Sensor arus, sensor cos phi, Visual Basic, RF Modul XBee Starter Kit.
