Microhydro Power Plant (PLTMH) is a power plant that utilizes flowing water as energy. The minimum power requirement from PLTMH is 5 kW. The energy value of the microhydro flow is influenced by the water discharge value and the height of the water fall. The higher the water discharge and the height of the water fall, the higher the energy that can be produced. The aim of this research is to calculate the potential microhydro sources in one of the tributary streams in Tarakan City, RT. 05 Kelurahan Pamusian, Kecamatan Tarakan Tengah. The river flow studied has an effective fall height of 0.7 meters. To determine the discharge value, it was obtained using the 90o angle V-Notch Thompson method. Measurements carried out in the morning and evening for 32 days showed an average of power value produced was 8.55 W. Based on this data, This location cannot meet the PLTMH criteria. However, this flow source has potential as a Picohydro Power Plant with a power below 5 kW.
